Volition Open Day

Volition Open Day

Volition at Manchester Cathedral will have its next IPI open day for candidates on Thursday 25 May 2017. This is an innovative, proactive programme which supports all who join with a view to improving lives and successfully gaining sustainable employment.

This ten-week programme will facilitate entry to employment through a blended approach of training, volunteering and supported job search.

Open Day Date: Thursday 25 May 2017
Time: 10:30-12:00
Location: Cathedral Visitor’s Centre, 10 Cateaton Street, Manchester, M3 1SQ
Eligibility: 19+, JSA, Universal Credit, ESA (wrag), other state benefits and earn less than £330 a month

Course Details:
Starts Thursday 01 June – Full training day on Thursdays 10:00-14:30 with Manchester College, ½ day volunteering tbd, ½ day supported job club

Key Volunteering Opportunities:
• Printworks Roof Garden – Fantastic new opportunity to help develop a new roof space on top of The Printworks
• Cenotaph Steward – Customer facing role in the city centre
• Guide and Welcomer – Customer facing role in Manchester Cathedral
• Facilities – Cleaning and general housekeeping in Manchester Cathedral
• Verger – Setting up for events in Manchester
• Beekeeping – Caring for the bees on the Cathedral and Printworks
