We are pleased to introduce our new Volunteer Programme Coordinator, John Emsley. John has been seconded from The Manchester College and will work alongside Tony Maunder.
John is a skills teacher, passionate advocate of employability and obsessive about vocational relevance in education. His ethos is simple; inspiring and empowering people to realise their full potential and facilitate entry to progressive, sustainable employment. John brings a wealth of practical skills to his role from careers in the Army Intelligence Corps, where he served on operations worldwide, and subsequently retail property management where he developed a passion for training start-up businesses to grow and scale up. Presently working within the Communities & Works Team at The Manchester College, John has been leading delivery on diverse employment led programmes within the facilities, social care and voluntary sectors. Also a qualified freelance Turkish interpreter, he does find time on occasion to collect cheap 70s & 80s vinyl and loves the garden.
