Tony started as a volunteer with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service back in 2013 and gained a placement to train as a community safety advisor. There he gained valuable people skills and worked throughout Greater Manchester giving important fire safety information to the most vulnerable in the community. After qualifying as a community safety advisor in 2015, Tony was seconded to a pilot project in Salford working alongside the police, youth and social services helping vulnerable children and families in the community. In July 2016, Tony started working for Manchester Cathedral as a Volition Programme Co-ordinator, he is enthusiastic and says it is a very rewarding role being in a position to help people in the local community.
