Volition volunteers community project

Our volunteers have been busy weeding and replanting some forgotten planters around the southern side of the cathedral. Manchester City Council ‘Bloom’ team were kind enough to let me fill my car with flowers which have been used to brighten up the area.

This was part of a community project and the group had spent some time planning and organising who was going to what, gathering tools and resources for the day. Passers by and cathedral staff were pleased to see the transformation and several stopped to chat and comment to the volunteers what a great job they were doing. It was good to get outside on such a beautiful day and a great confidence boost for some of our team who are still developing and improving their customer service skills.
